A Conveyancer means a person, other than a current practitioner or interstate practitioner, who carries on a business in the course of which conveyancing work is carried out directly or indirectly for fee or reward. Is There A Difference Between Conveyancers? Yes. Due to de-regulation, any person who sets themselves up as a Conveyancer, can call themselves a Conveyancer. However do they have the requisite qualifications, experience and ethics to complete your transaction? Not necessarily. As a member of this Institute, we guarantee that all Member Conveyancers are qualified and competent to conduct their businesses within their capabilities and according to their category of membership. Members also abide by the Rules and Ethics of the Institute pursuant to our Code of Conduct. There is no requirement by Government for other Conveyancers to abide by these Rules and Codes.
