We’re headed to Warragul to discuss Conveyancer’s obligations when working with Building Disputes & Powers of Attorney and Deceased Estates.
The session will cover:
- Recent Building Dispute Cases relevant to Conveyancers
- Powers of Attorney and Deceased Estates to help guide Conveyancers as to the processes, timeframes and signing requirements when they are dealing with a Deceased Estate or a client signing under Power of Attorney
Our Speakers:
Rowland Hassall has experience in debt recovery, commercial and general litigation and has focused his career on Building Dispute and Construction Law, Family Law and any Litigation. His time as the Chairperson of the Appeals Committee of the Housing Guarantee Fund Limited so him determine over 400 building dispute cases. These cases were complaints by owners regarding builders, appeals by builders for warranty insurance, and registration as builders. Between 1999 to 2001 Rowland was the Chairperson of the Legal Subcommittee of the Housing Industry Association.
We have Principal Solicitor Jade MacGregor, who was admitted to the Supreme Court of Victoria as an Australian Lawyer in 2015 and worked in a boutique law firm in Geelong gaining experience in Wills & Deceased Estates, Conveyancing & Property Transfers and Commercial Law. Jade will dive into Powers of Attorney and Deceased Estates. She will guide us through the processes, timeframes, and signing requirements.
